Well, seeing as this thread had already been revived without any complaints, I'll go ahead and add a bit more to it. =]

Hey everyone. Seeing as I'm a minority here because I'm not an old member--in fact, I just found this through Synthetic Truth and I thought that it was a pretty awesome RP site; you don't get to find much of RP sites that really has quality in the writing, most of them are forums with fancy-schmancy layouts but they don't really have much to work with, which made me sign up. Anywho, I'm Sam, I'm 18 and I'm a girl. Though I've done RPing in the past, as well as fanfiction, I've only done fantasy RPing through Harry Potter so this is basically the first time I'm doing this genre and all seems great so far. So I hope to meet more of you soon  PS: I have an RP-related question. How do the journals work? I wanted to make one for my character since it'd help a lot with her backstory as well as her discovery, but it says that the purpose is to keep track of threads in RPing, so I was wondering if what I had in mind would be totally different from its original purpose, and what would its difference be from the webs XD thanks! |

What do you have in mind? The way people make the journals is completely up to them. It is used to keep track of threads, but you can also use it to keep a diary or something (or whatever else you have in mind). Just know that you miiiight have people leaving reminders for you to post, although that's not really something that's generally happened here. The purpose of the Web, especially the timeline, is like a short summary of everything that's happened to you. You can look at mine for an example if you'd like. The profile that you have in the Web is also one that you can constantly update, too, versus the one when you first apply, where you don't really update it. If you don't like the way these two threads are organized or you feel more comfortable doing it another way, totally go for it. Just wanted to say welcome, too. ^^ I am Aeri on SynTru. Oh nice. You've been here for like a month now, and I just noticed your existence. Damn, I really need to get back to this forum. I don't even want to know how many threads I am behind on now.
Anyway, welcome!
Edit: And since I never introduced myself, I might as well do that too. My name is Leslie in real life, and I am 17...almost 18, strangely enough. *Sigh* how time flies. It's crazy how fast your life can go away. I am a pretty hardcore gamer, and love a huge variety of games. I'd likely much prefer if someone in real life would rather want to play a video game with me then, say, take me to the movies. Usually video games have better stories then movies these days anyway. I also am a huge music fan of an equally large variety, and if you ever have any music that you want to discover, just ask the general style/genre you want to discover more of and I will try to send you music of that general style/genre (though I lack in knowledge of techno/pop/reggae, and so on). I always love to share music I know with others. So don't hesitate to ask!
