Abilities: Like her son (used to), Serine can use Shade magic, which is basically just dark and violent magic. But unlike Reks or Rage, she's mastered it completely. This attribute makes her a feared figure among the Noble Houses.
Her second specialty lies with her maiden families alleged history. She seems to be immortal, but claims that she can be killed but tries to avoid "such habits as dying". As of now, the truth behind her history remains a well kept secret those who aren't blood related to her.
She also has a born ability she calls "The Succubi Connection". This allows her to contact people in their dreams as long as they are within a certain distance, or another person lends her their magic for a particular connection. She now uses it mostly to converse with her family and friends, but what she did with it before she got married is up for debate.
Personal Items: Nothing of significance other than some small, un-noticable runic jewelry and charms

Personality: Despite the dark aura that surrounds her, Serine is a loving mother and very spirited. She can sometimes be caught talking in a seductive manner in order to ad emphasis on somthing (good or bad) or to play around with "youngsters" be they male or female. She raised Katrina and Reks so . . . yeah, go figure.
Background/History: Out of all the Noble Houses, the Roth House is by far the most mysterious and, in some ways, the most feared. Mages of the Roth families realm tend to stay away form creatures such as elves, werewolf's, mermaids, and vampires. But the Roth's have a history of seeking them out. Rumor has it that they do this to marry into families of these races, interbreed with them and use their attributes to make the Roth family stronger.
One such rumor is a family that has been said to be the descendants of a vampiric family; Serine's maiden family. Serine has proven time and time again that she is indeed "human", but not a lot of mages have accepted that she is entirely human. This and her mastery over Shade magic makes her feared by the other Houses as well as some uneasiness towards her two children: Reks and Katrina, who are also figures of interest (even though Reks has not been heard from in the last five to six years).
When Serine contacted Reks with her Succubi Connection she had a feeling that she would be getting grandchildren quicker than she had anticipated. So Reks invited her to the wedding between him and Sylvia to meet Sylvia and to be another family member at the wedding; also to calm Katrina down when she finally got the news broken to her.
Desires: To witness the wedding, and to meet the woman betrothed to her son.
