Name: Argalim Aetus
Age: Unknown.
Category: Wanderer
Height: Around 6 feet, it varies on his mood.
Abilities:
Arcane Magic: The most fundamental, raw type of magic that was used when the Earth was young. Arcane Magic manipulates the ambient energy of the domain to achieve supernatural effects.
Weapon Mastery: Argalim is skilled at combat with any weapon, and can use his magic to analyze any weapon he hasn't encountered before to instantly gain mastery over it.
Aura of Inspiration: This aura enhances the magic energy collection and metabolic rate of allies within 10 meters to 300 meters, range is controllable.
Aura of Terror: This aura instills uncontrollable fear to anyone within 1-5 meters of Argalim, making them recoil automatically, range is controllable and is only on in battle.
Shapeshifting: Argalim has the curious ability to modify his appearance at will, including height.
"The Dreamer": Argalim's ultimate power, The Dreamer allows the user to manifest effects without the knowledge of the methodology, provided that such a methodology exists. Therefore, as long as there exists an infinitesimal chance of something happening, the Dreamer is able to manipulate the circumstances to make it happen. Note this is not equivalent to Omnipotence. The Dreamer cannot override fundamental universal truths, and thus it cannot even do the mathematical exercise of squaring the circle with straightedge and compass. The dreamer is also incredibly energy-intensive, costing the total energy consumed to achieve the effect if the methodology is known multiplied by the number of steps needed, and it is not unheard of for the Dreamer to consume more than five hundred times the energy than necessary. The flip side is Argalim's intellect allows him to learn the methodology after one activation of the Dreamer. Though, while pretty much anything is possible, not everything is worth doing, and Argalim activates this power only rarely.
"Kronos": Kronos automatically slows down time whenever a hostile force is detected within a certain distance of Argalim.
Weapons:
Froekameath the Annihilator: A greatsword made of reinforced iridium-titanium alloy and possesses intense ice powers. Argalim had put a number of enchantments on it so it can be carried stealthily, or even have its shape changed.
Kazmaya the Negator: A blood-red ruby ring that can negate all magic within a certain radius of Argalim. This ring can also be used to negate life and memories upon touch, though Argalim does not like being so up close and personal with his enemies.
Nersaya the Dreamer: An ice-blue sapphire ring that can give motion to the motionless, animating concepts of magic into real magic by tapping into a silver of Argalim's Dreamer ability.
Appearance: The pic's his preferred appearance, though he's also known to use a variety of old men avatars, possibly being the origin of the "wise old man" trope. If there's a most notable feature, it's that his appearances always include a pair of blue, piercing eyes unless he's impersonating someone else.
Personality: Argalim is of many faces. He is usually stoic and rule-minded, frequently refusing to make exceptions even for the direst of emergencies. However, when things become personal for Argalim, his personality flips around and he ignores all rules and conventions, using anything convenient to achieve his ends or right wrongs perceived. He also seem to possess a regal air and does not mingle with people easily, though he is charismatic enough so that his presence is not an annoyance, nor does he give the appearance of a snob.
History: Argalim's pasts are a mystery. It is known that he was an inhabitant of Earth and he had returned to it after a millennial-long absence. He was known by many names through the ages, often offering men invaluable advice and designs, but Earth was too energy-deprived for arcane magic to be usable by mortals. Consequently, Argalim never found a suitable candidate to call his pupil. He may have been a ruler of some sort, but no-one is certain.
Goals: He arrived at Kironin to retrieve the two rings he had lost, though the place seemed to also have some kind of familiarity to him that cannot be explained.
